About Veronique Wines

In 2001 my wife Vicki and I moved to the Barossa Valley, we rented a lovely old property on ten acres out at Mt Mckenzie, approximately halfway between Angaston and Eden Valley which we purchased in 2003.

Our dream was to plant a vineyard and start a small winery. Things didn’t go according to plan, we drilled for water a vital ingredient for planting a vineyard with no success.

We made good friends with Domenic Torzi and Tracy Mathews our neighbours who coincidently have a great vineyard and wine label Frost Dodger.

Over the odd bottle of red most Friday nights I explained my dream and vision to Dom, not to be deterred Vicki and I thought we can still produce our wine but we would have to source quality grapes on long term agreement.

Dom has been fantastic helping sourcing great quality vineyards and being our winemaker. The combination of vineyards:

Shiraz from Greenock, Eden Valley & Lyndoch

Old vine Grenache from Eden Valley

Old vine Mataro from Nurioopta

Sauvignon Blanc from Craneford in Eden Valley

We are now in our 5th vintage with Veronique Regions Shiraz (07 & 08 still in barrel) and this year will be adding two more wines to our portfolio.

We produce and offer quality wines at affordable prices for wine lovers. Our wines may be hard to source but worth looking for and for your convenience we have a mail order service, including free delivery. (case lots only)

When the new varieties are available we will be offering sample packs (3 bottles), you can select a combination of any of our wines.

We only produce small parcels of each wine to date no more that 600 cases of each variety.
